I just discovered that if someone's contrast is turned up high on their monitor, they can't see the background I have on this page.

How is anyone supposed to understand what I'm saying if they can't understand the BACKGROUND and the themes UNDERLYING these strips? Plus, I think it makes it look kinda cool.

Oh, maybe it's better this way anyway. Some things have more of an impact if they are a fortuitous late "discovery".

speaking of late discoveries... why do the words shriveled-up beef-jerky appear in the background?
 

well, in context, i think shriveled up beef jerky works, but probably only in context. you have to read the entire background, or at least the surrounding sentence.

come to think of it, what kind of beef jerky isn't shriveled up?
